ged Scholarship

TERMS

The scholarship is for students who possess a GED diploma and enroll in a Board-approved Associate Degree Program of study at Penn Commercial.

CONDITIONS

Applicants for the GED scholarship must meet the following qualifications in order to qualify for the GED scholarship:

• Possession of Commonwealth secondary diploma (GED).
• Planning to enroll in a Board-approved associate degree program at Penn Commercial but have not yet begun classes.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants may apply by completing the online scholarship application and remitting your application fee to the Admissions Office at Penn Commercial.

DEADLINE DATE

The deadline for application is December 15.  The scholarship will be awarded 30 days following the deadline date.

BASIS FOR SELECTION

Applicants will be interviewed by a committee from Penn Commercial on the student’s educational goals, success potential, commitment, and interview success.

NUMBER

One (1) Penn Commercial GED Scholarship will be awarded each year.

MAXIMUM/MINIMUM AWARD

The Penn Commercial GED Scholarship will amount to 50% of tuition per quarter in the program being offered by the school.  The award will be credited to the winner’s account by the School Director.  The recipient must maintain a 2.0 GPA or the scholarship is forfeited.

AGGREGATE AWARD VOLUME

The aggregate award volume shall not exceed 50% of tuition per quarter in any program annually.
